There are two common categories most people fall into when packing: underpacker and overpacker. Underpacking can easily be avoided as long as you make sure to fill your suitcase with the essentials. The one trap that gets underpackers though is that they try to overcompensate their underpacking by overpacking. That means instead of packing only a few cloth diapers for their newborns or a couple of toothbrushes they'll load up on such items.

We know how easy it can be to overpack, which is why we've come up with a list of must have items and items you can leave behind in your piece of Markham real estate property. Take a look at our lists and you should come up with the perfectly compartmentalized suitcase that will be full of just enough of the items you need and none of the ones you don't.

MUST HAVE ITEMS IN YOUR SUITCASE:
-Climate suitable clothes. If you're going somewhere sunny pack flip-flops and shorts; if you're staying in a cold environment pack mittens and a scarf.
-Toiletries such as toothbrushes, hair combs and nail clippers.
-Electrical adapters or converters if traveling overseas.
-Important papers and documents, especially if you're going on a mortgage Canada business trip. Papers don't take up much room so you never have to worry about making room for them.
-Digital camera.
-Prescription medication in travel sized bottles.

ITEMS YOU CAN LEAVE OUT OF YOUR SUITCASE:
-Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and soap. Hotels provide such items so don't waste space in your suitcase by packing your own.
-Shoes. They are bulky and take up a lot of space. Just pick out your most comfortable pair and wear them during your trip.
-Your entire make-up kit. Chances are you won't have any use for 11 different eyeliners so just pack a few that you will use and leave the rest behind.
-Unnecessary gadgets or toys such as portable DVD players, coffee makers, shoe horns or miniaturized replica Vincent Van Gogh paintings.
-Food you can buy at the airport such as chips, pop or sandwiches.
-Jewelry.
-Big towels.
-Too many clothes. Just pack a few outfits so you can make room for everything else in your suitcase.
